Reflections on YK...
Every year I'm taken with the story of 'Jonah & the whale'. I question why kids so easily accept the idea that you can turn away from God's mission for you. But now I realise also why so many adults actually also accept the story so easily, and especially towards the end of Yom Kippur. Really we can all identify with the idea of turning away from God and it's really hard to stay the course. However, we do our duty on Yom Kippur, despite the hardship, and in the end it is rewarding.
Now don't get me started on the tree...
